Whenever I have to wear a dress, I always gravitate towards wearing boots. So a couple weeks ago, when Rockport asked me to style one of their shoes from the new Cobb Hill collection, I thought it would be a good time to try a style of boot that is a little out of my comfort zone. As soon as I saw the Rockport Cobb Hill Alessia Strap Boot, I knew I wanted to call upon the 90’s for some outfit inspiration.
These Boots Are Made For Walking

I have always stuck to the basics and what works for me when it comes to fashion. At one point in my twenties, I think my closet was almost all black tops and blue denim. Despite my love of fashion, I really don’t mind wearing the same thing over again. But this year, I have started trying some new trends and colors while keeping with my love of simple pulled together outfits.
Currently, in my closet I have four pairs of ankle booties, two classic flat ones, a black heeled pair, and a low cut ankle bootie with a heel. I knew I needed to try another style to spice things up a bit. Enter in the Rockport Cobb Hill Alessia Strap Boot. It is the perfect boot to add a little edge to feminine dresses. I ended up styling the boots with this midi dress from Anthropologie that is currently sold out. (I have linked similar) Add a jean jacket and a headband and I have an outfit that is inspired by my childhood in the 90’s.
These boots would also look cute with some skinny jeans and an over sized sweater. Once it gets colder out, I’ll try it out because you know, California fall isn’t really fall at all. But the best part of these boots are that they are comfy! I took a walk with the family wearing these boots and mom life requires comfy shoes.
