2020 is weird, huh. Who would have guessed that the most in-demand accessory would be a face mask back in January, but here we are. We are still mostly staying home, but I do go out to run errands, Brady goes to work, and hoping that Rowan can attend his T-K program in the fall. As a fashion lover, I have made it to the point in this pandemic where I am coordinating my face masks to my outfits. If we are going to have to wear a face mask for the greater good, we should make it a statement piece!

Why I Wear a Face Mask
I’m not going to get into the scientific reasons, they are all over the internet, and we should all be aware that a face mask helps prevent the spread of the virus. People will try to fight me on that, but hey I’m part Korean, over in Asia and Hawaii even, it is pretty normal to see people in face masks during flu season. I am a firm believer that wearing a face mask is a way to communicate kindness and respect for your community while you are out and about. I wear a face mask to protect other people, and I hope you will do the same for me.
The Type of Mask I Wear
Since we will be wearing face masks for the foreseeable future, my advice is to find a style of mask that works for you. My favorite type of mask is the accordion-style ones with ties. I keep a hair tie in my car, so I can quickly throw my hair up, tie my mask on, and take my hair back down, Yes, there may be a bump in the back of my hair, but whatever, I can’t see it. After each wear, I like to ask my masks in a delicates bag in the washing machine (but check the care instructions). As for where to buy them, keep reading, I rounded up some of my favorites with ties and ear loops!
Where to Buy Masks
Note: I am hoping to keep this list updated and add more shops as I find ones to feature. I do like buying my masks on Etsy the best since it seems that they have a quick ship time. Some of the big box stores, the masks are preorder or back ordered.
Etsy: As of right now, there are over 900,000 results for face masks. Most of the sellers I have noticed ship quick.
ClickBloom on Etsy: I have two face masks from this store on Etsy. They also ship free and within 24 hours. Their patterns change often and sell quickly.
Quiltoff on Etsy: I love the colors and they have fast and free shipping.
Little Mia Bella on Etsy: If you gave into the tie-dye trend in the spring, these masks are for you
Old Navy: I am about to order some because it would be nice to own masks that loop around the ears for quick trips to the bank or post office or to pick up take out. I have heard great things about Old Navy masks for Adults and Kids.
Society 6: There are a bunch of patterns to chose from, but I am pretty fond of this one.
BaubleBar: I love these fabrics and patterns. Perfect to wear with simple summer dresses. These are currently for pre-order.
