Brady and I just returned from celebrating my brother’s wedding in San Clemente, CA. We only had a few hours to explore on Friday afternoon before the rehearsal, but in that short time, I fell in love!

If we ever moved back to Orange County, San Clemente is where I want to be.
I am not a style blogger, so I apologize if these photos seem awkward.

San Clemente Pier
We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites San Clemente for the wedding. The hotel may not have been my first choice, but it was a 5-minute walk to the wedding venue and a longer but manageable walk down to the pier. It would be perfect for families since the rooms are all suites!
Once we checked into the hotel (the hotel staff was amazing the entire weekend and gave us an early check-in), Brady and I took the one-and-a-half-mile walk to the pier for lunch.
Fun Fact: An Amtrak and an OC Metrolink train station are right along the beach. A handful of restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and of course, the beach!
Pierside Kitchen & Bar
We meet some of my family for lunch at Pierside Kitchen & Pier. The restaurant is right across the beach, with a small outside patio overlooking the beach and pier.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the Orange County area. My family and I ordered everything from a salad, grilled cheese, burger, ahi sandwich, and scallops. Pierside is great for parties that might want a little bit of everything. The drinks were also good. I had a peach and cream beer I wanted to have every night of the week.
Bear Coast Coffee
When I travel, my plans tend to center around food and coffee. Bear Coast Coffee is a must-stop if you are in San Clemente or even in the surrounding area. A few storefronts down from Pierside, Bear Coast Coffee is a small little store perfect for grabbing a cup.
Bear Coast is even perfect for breakfast. I woke up early on my brother’s wedding day and decided I needed a cold brew before meeting everyone to get ready. With my cold brew, I ordered a breakfast bowl with spinach, avocado, a prosciutto chip, and a soft-boiled egg. It was a great way to start a busy and exciting day.
Summer Uniform
I’ll never be a style blogger because when I find an outfit or two I love, I just want to wear it every day. Although, I don’t think you can go wrong with a short sleeve blouse, distressed shorts, a hat, and Birkenstock Sandals – if I’m wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Old Navy Shorts [ Similar ] || Madewell Top || Birkenstock Sandals || Marc by Marc Jacobs Purse || Gigi Pip Hat
Do you have a summer uniform? What do you always have to do when traveling?
