We moved into our house about a year ago. We still need to decorate and furnish or replace furniture that doesn’t fit our style. You know the old hand me down furniture people throw your way because you’re a poor newlywed couple? Yeah, we have a few of those pieces. Anyways, I have the hardest time committing to decor and furniture and so, I created a master bedroom decor inspiration board for me to work off of.
Master Bedroom Decor Inspiration Board

Our home decor style is basically industrial with a mix of modern farmhouse and a topping of Californian bohemian. Yes, it’s a lot, but decor is not one size fits all.
Most of the pieces that I am getting inspiration from for our master bedroom are plain and simple. For me, I plan to build upon these simple pieces with art prints, pillows, blankets, and other small decor additions.
For our bed:
We already have a Grey Queen Upholstered Platform Bed. I would love to add the Anthropologie Textured Chevron Duvet Cover, but it is expensive and I am currently looking for a cheaper dupe. I don’t think I’ll find one. There’s always a chance though.
Nightstands & Dresser
We already have a dresser that is similar to the dresser above. But our nightstands are freebies that a friend found on Craig’s List. I’ve been looking for white washed nightstands for years now and I found the perfect ones.
I wish the nightstands were $249 for the pair, but alas my expensive taste lives on! The Arien Nightstands are $249 each! As always, I’ll be hunting for look alike at thrift stores and yard sales first, but I think these are just perfect.
Other Decor Pieces
Curtains: Right now we have cheap mini blinds on our windows. I think curtains will help transform the room.
Lamp: Just something cool to put on the dresser.
Mirror: You always need a full length mirror right?
Fiddle Leaf Tree & Pot: We have a space by our dresser that would be perfect for a fiddle leaf. Bonus: it’s fake!

I love toss pillows and just told my husband the other day that I wanted to get some. I think they would add in a nice pop of color.

I am crazy for the bedding in Anthropologie… great pic on the textured design, love it! My husband suggested we get new bedding the other day, I’m not sure he ever suggests I shop so it’s must be pretty bad, lol!
I actually just redid my master bedroom and it seems like we went totally opposite. Our furniture is black. Lol.
I really like all the light colors. So elegant and so classy! Ours is all dark wood, maybe I need to look into some lighter options.
I love these pieces, especially the dresser! Our master doesn’t get a lot of natural light so I’m slowly transitioning to lighter furniture.
Don’t you hate it when you find the perfect item (or in your case duvet set) and then you get the price shock :(. Check out Urban Outfitters, they actually have home decor and linens that is similar style to anthropologie! I’ve been there though, I feel your pain!

I love the light and airy feeling from this white decor. It’s simple, classy and fun at the same time. I like neutral palettes that you can add splashes of color and pattern to.

I have a whole Pinterest board of how I want to re do our home. We just haven’t had the time or funds to do what we want yet. We want to do blue/greys/whites and go for a mix of farmhouse and modern.

My home needs a revamp. We have lived here 16 years and bought all new furniture and furnishings when we moved in as newlyweds as well. Now, after 16 years and three kiddos, it is tired!!

I can not wait to remake our master bedroom someday! I did recently get some new white bedding that I like at Walmart of all places, it was a great deal!
I have a small (actually giant) obsession with white bedding! We have like 5 sets for our bed, and I just bleach them whenever they get dirty. I love how crisp they make the room feel!

I love this look and it’s similar to how we are currently decorating our bedroom (our dressers/nightstand are a bit more ornate/romantic). Love the mix of textures and greenery is a must.

This inspiration just screams relaxation to me. I am loving the white comforter and the soft tones of the furniture.

Furniture is SO expensive! Its such a bummer for decor junkies. haha. I also can’t wait to not fear white sheets and bed sets. My husband comes home from work filthy and I have 3 kids. I think I would have to wash them daily! One day!
