Did you know you can gift a Kindle ebook to someone? I just learned how to do it, and it is so easy! The best part is, no wrapping is required! I mean, you could write a lovely card and note why you chose the ebook to gift to your loved ones, but that’s up to you.
Your ebook gift recipient doesn’t need a Kindle to use the ebook either. Currently, I am using an old iPad and my phone and the Kindle app to read ebooks. Although a Kindle Paperwhite is on my Christmas Wishlist.
Anyways, let’s dive into how to gift a Kindle eBook!

How to gift a Kindle eBook
Head to Amazon.com and search for the book you want to gift. Once you get to the eBook product page, make sure you have the Kindle edition selected.
If you are on a computer, there is a button that says Buy for Others on the right-hand side of the screen.
If you are on the phone, make sure you are using an internet browser, you can’t buy an eBook via the Amazon app. Scroll down on the page and click the Buy for Others button.
On the next screen, enter the name and email of the recipient and a little message. If you want, you can schedule the ebook delivery for Christmas morning, which I think is cool! (note: as of 2021, you can only send ebooks to those living in the US.)
Last but not least, don’t forget to hit the place your order button!
