Halloween is such a fun time of year. It’s also the perfect opportunity for DIY projects that can be made with things you find at your local Dollar Store. I recently made a hanging ghost from the dollar store, which was so easy!

Let’s Make a Hanging Ghost
Here’s how to make this hanging ghost:
1) Unfold the tablecloth and cut a hole in the middle.
2) Take the paper lantern and pull the hook through the hole in the tablecloth.
3) Use construction paper and scissors to create ghost eyes.
4) Hot glue the eyes to the “face” of the ghost.
6) Use the paper lantern hook to hang inside or outside
Let’s talk about how much each hanging ghost cost me to make
My kids love Halloween and wanted to decorate our yard this year, but when I saw how much it cost to buy decorations, I started thinking about what I could DIY for cheap. That’s when I thought about making my own hanging ghost. The best part about this project is that you don’t need much crafty skill to make it- just a little time and effort.
I made three hanging ghosts for our front yard, costing me $2 per hanging ghost.
If you’re looking to decorate your front yard for Halloween but don’t want to spend a lot of money on decorations- this is the perfect DIY project. With just a few supplies from your local dollar store and some time and effort, you can make 3 hanging ghosts that will last through most of October! This project cost me $2 per ghost when I was done making all three in about an hour’s worth of work. Plus, they look so cute when lit up at night!
