In the summer, I live in shorts. As a toddler mom, sometimes wearing dresses and skirts are not a great option. I may have given birth naked in a tub, but I still don’t want my underwear hanging out.
Anyways, I have rounded up my favorite summer staples for my mom style.
After I had Rowan, I had to reinvent my style. I can’t tell you how many times I have bought clothes that never see the light of day because I saw someone wear it or the piece was trendy. It was a long road, but I think I finally know what pieces I love.

Free People Odyssey Top – Seriously, you need this top in your closet. Mine is a little big, so maybe order a size down.
Madewell Central Shirt in Stripe (or here) – When I want to feel a little more put together, I wear this shirt or any short sleeve button up with shorts. But this one is my go to, for sure.
Madewell Chambray Ex-Boyfriend Shirt in Buckley Wash – I wear this over basic tees and tanks. I’m not a Kimono person, so this is like my kimono.
Shorts
The shorts that I am obsessed with are sold out at Old Navy (or I just can’t find them). But these are from GAP
Mid rise denim distressed raw hem shorts
And because I love me some high-waisted Madewell denim, these are a favorite too.
