I really wanted to post an update at 30 weeks because its an even number and all. But it didn’t happen. Oh well, pregnancy happens. Let’s get down to business!

How far along: 31 Weeks as of April 9th.
Name: Baby Girl is nameless. My mom will say I’m lying because I don’t want to tell anyone, but honest this little babe has no name. There’s a few possible names that I’m excited about.
Weight Gain: 20 lbs. I gained 25 lbs with Rowan and I had him at 37 weeks. No matter how much or little weight I gain, I would still feel like a whale, especially while sitting.
Feeling: Mostly tired and there’s some aches and pains that are probably the result of my weight gain the last couple weeks. Otherwise, I’m pretty good. I did just realize how soon baby girl will be joining us. I’ve been trying to clean and organize the house for our new family member. When I was 30 weeks along with Rowan, we had moved from Orange County to Fresno – I’m not sure how I packed, unpacked, and set up a whole house. I can barely clean for 20 minutes before I need to take a break. Last week I also did my glucose testing with a finger prick and I’m currently celebrating not having gestational diabetes. Seriously, we went to Chick-fil-a for dinner that night.
Speaking of dinner, I am just not into cooking right now and I love to cook. At the end of the day, my legs are tired and standing in the kitchen is the last thing I want to do. Eating out is where my heart is right now. Plus, it means that there is no after dinner clean up.
Movement: She’s a head banger. At my last appointment last week, she was head down and it feels like she still is because I can feel her head move back and forth in the space below my belly button. She also likes to throw 3am dance parties and always moves when Rowan is near.
Nursery Update: The nursery is still like a storage room for us. After Rowan moved to a different room, we started using it as a dumping ground. So it needs to be cleaned out and decorated. I am currently on the hunt for a new dresser for the nursery, but I’m a little jaded because the first dresser Brady and I bought was $20 at a thrift store. She will be in our room for at least three to four months, so I don’t feel too much pressure to have it completed before her birth.
Maternity Items I am loving: I’m not a huge maternity clothes person, but I have found a few pieces lately that I have been loving. I have a few tank tops from Bae the Label, a pair of shorts from Target, and a tank from Asos. I have been into layering my tops with kimonos and some button up tops!
3rd Trimester thoughts: I love that we’re in the home stretch since my favorite thing about being pregnant is giving birth. We’re excited to be preparing for a home birth. Having to order all of the supplies makes it all that more real! Maternity photos are coming up, so really the 3rd Trimester is filled with all things baby. I guess it is go time!
