If you have seen my Instagram or, more specifically, my Instagram stories, you know that I love baby-wearing. I started with the Boba wrap with Rowan, and my obsession started there. The baby-carrying world can be overwhelming because there are so many choices, and baby-wearing can be tricky. Don’t give up, though. There are plenty of YouTube videos to help you with baby-wearing! I even had to watch my share of tutorials.
New to baby-wearing? I rounded up a list of baby carriers that I own and use. I believe you can never have enough baby carriers, but if you are a one-and-done type of person, hopefully, this list helps you narrow it down!

Baby Carrier #1: Boba Wrap
I started with the Boba Wrap with Rowan. I took my first solo road trip with Rowan at two weeks old. Why would I do that? Read his birth story. Anyways, I needed a way to go pee without bringing the car seat in and putting it on the gross bathroom floor. I like the Boba wrap because the baby is super snug. I will say that the Boba wrap may have a learning curve since you have to wrap it.
Baby Carrier #2: Solly Baby Wrap
There’s not much difference between the Boba Wrap and the Solly Baby Wrap except for the material. The Solly Baby Wrap is super light and soft, and breathable. I bought the Solly Baby Wrap before Piper was born. I loved it because Piper was a summer baby, and it was perfect for hot summer days. I traveled to Hawaii with my Solly Wrap earlier this year. The Solly is ideal for traveling with a newborn.
Baby Carrier #3: Boppy Comfyfit Baby Carrier
If you are intimidated by the wraps I mentioned above, try the Boppy Comfyfit Baby Carrier. It is super easy to put on. This carrier is easy to throw on with a buckle waist and shoulder straps.
Baby Carrier #4: Wild Bird Ring Sling
I love my Wild Bird ring sling. The fabric is soft and breathable, and easy to manage. This carrier is the perfect grab-and-go carrier once you have threaded the material through the rings. I usually bring mine in the car, throw it on when I reach my destination, adjust it, and place the baby between the fabric. Wild Bird has even made it easy with its excellent library of video tutorials. I love these wraps so much that I have two, and I would probably buy another one if I fell in love with a color or a pattern.
Baby Carrier # 5: Ergobaby Omni 360
If you prefer a more structured carrier, look at the Ergobaby. I like the Ergobaby Omni 360 because it has multiple carry positions from newborn to toddler. It’s perfect if you just want one carrier to take you from walks around town to shopping at Target to even hikes. Yes, it is expensive, but worth every penny.
